Accounting Manager

A Wiss real estate client is seeking a hands‑on Accounting Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day accounting operations for their real estate portfolio. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional looking for a stable, long‑term opportunity with a collaborative, family‑oriented environment. The Accounting Manager will manage daily banking activities, accounts payable, month‑end close, bank reconciliations, tax filings, and financial reporting while working closely with ownership and outside business partners. Responsibilities Monitor bank accounts daily and review transactions for accuracy. Approve Positive Pay transactions as needed. Process vendor invoices and prepare payments by property, including split payments when required. Prepare monthly mortgage payments and maintain adequate cash balances. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Prepare journal entries and assist with the monthly close process. Generate monthly financial reports. Prepare and process quarterly real estate tax, sewer, and other property‑related payments. Prepare quarterly sales and use tax filings. Submit online tax payments and annual business filings. Assist with year‑end close and audit preparation. Coordinate with insurance providers regarding employee driving records and related insurance documentation. Work closely with banks, contractors, insurance brokers, accountants, and other outside partners. Assist with additional accounting and administrative projects as needed. Qualifications Previous real estate or property management accounting experience is required. Yardi Voyager experience is required. Strong understanding of month‑end close, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting. Experience managing accounting for multiple properties or entities is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work independently. #J-18808-Ljbffr
