Accounting Manager

Overview Oliver James is partnered with a growing insurance firm seeking an Accounting Manager to support core financial reporting and transformation initiatives. This role will be responsible for statutory and management reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes, and supporting ERP/system implementation efforts. The position offers strong exposure to senior leadership and plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and scalability as the organization evolves. Responsibilities Oversee preparation and review of statutory financial statements in compliance with NAIC and state regulatory requirements Support quarterly and annual statutory filings, including schedules and regulatory reporting packages Ensure adherence to statutory accounting principles and internal controls Produce monthly and quarterly management reporting packages for senior leadership Analyze financial results, variances, and key performance metrics Partner with finance leadership to provide insights supporting business decisions Lead or support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather inputs and validate assumptions Monitor actual results against budget and forecast, providing variance explanations Serve as a key finance stakeholder in ERP or financial systems implementation initiatives Assist with system testing, data validation, process design, and post-implementation support Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting efficiency, and internal controls Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience within the insurance industry Working knowledge of statutory accounting and regulatory reporting strongly preferred Experience with management reporting and budgeting processes ERP or financial systems implementation experience strongly preferred CPA or MBA a plus Advanced Excel skills; experience with modern accounting systems and reporting tools a plus If interested in learning more, please apply directly or reach out to Adam Salvadori at View email address on click.appcast.io #J-18808-Ljbffr
