Sales Director

Our client, a Chicago-based, non-asset 3PL is hiring a Director of Sales to lead its sales team and personally close major accounts. The company has been in business 14 years, does about $70M in revenue with 22 people, and is targeting close to $100M next year. Ownership is on the table for the right person.

Role

• Lead and grow a team of 5 reps, with authority to hire
• Win new enterprise business through prospecting, networking, and referrals
• Build a repeatable sales process with clear goals, KPIs, and activity standards
• Work with Operations and Carrier Sales on capacity, pricing, and delivery

Requirements

• 5+ years selling in freight brokerage, 3PL, or transportation
• Experience building and managing a sales team
• A track record of new business wins
• An owner’s mindset and comfort in a small, entrepreneurial company
