CT Technologist

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 3pm - 11:30pm EST, on call/callback, holidays and occasional weekends

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 17 weeks

Requirements:

• New York State licensure
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Two (2) years of CT experience
• Injection therapy certification (must obtain before starting position)
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience preferred
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Confirm patient identity and verify exams prior to initiating scans in adherence to safety protocols.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging services.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure their comfort.
• Insert IVs when necessary and position patients, including those with limited mobility, using safe handling techniques.
• Maintain accurate patient records by documenting relevant information within the electronic medical record system.
• Ensure images are accurately identified and sent to the appropriate systems upon completion of exams.
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment.
