Job Title

Pharmacy Technician

Duties

The duties include:

Obtaining health history, chief complaint, medication review, and identifying health-related conditions during patient evaluation.
Reviewing computer medication profiles for prescription duplication, therapeutic duplication, prescription noncompliance, and allergies/adverse drug reactions.
Reviewing laboratory monitoring reports for selected disease states and identifying patients with values outside of specified parameters.
Inputting non-controlled new and renewal prescriptions into the computer system on behalf of the provider.
Advising pharmacists and technicians in day-to-day problem solving in assigned areas.
Collecting and analyzing data related to performance improvement projects, workload, and clinic outcomes.
Identifying, problem solving, and implementing corrective actions to maximize outcomes in assigned clinical areas.
Verifying patient identification.
Verifying patient receives the correct prescriptions using applicable electronic systems.
Ensuring all prescriptions are retrieved and dispensed to the patient.
