Position: Paramedic (Full-Time & Part Time, Various Shifts Available)

Location: Marion, OH

Compensation: Starting at $26.00/hr (based on experience)

Shift Differentials:

• Mon–Thurs: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM ? + $4/hr
• Fri–Sun: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM ? + $5/hr
• Sat–Sun: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM ? + $4/hr

Hiring Bonus:

• $10,000 for Full-Time (Reserved for the first 5 Paramedics hired)
• $5,000 for Full-Time
• $2,500 for Part-Time

Paramedic 2 – Advanced Practice & New Opportunities

Paramedic 2 is designed for experienced clinicians who want to practice at the highest level of prehospital emergency care. You'll respond to time-sensitive emergencies, provide primary support to our member hospital freestanding emergency departments, and practice under the guidance of our Medical Director with expanded responsibilities.

As a Paramedic 2, you'll also have the exciting opportunity to participate in the rollout of our new Quick Response Vehicle (QRV) program , helping shape the future of emergency response in our communities.

What is Required

• Current Ohio Paramedic License and American Heart Association CPR & ACLS certification
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Comprehensive knowledge of emergency transportation procedures
• Ability to transport and assist patients up to 350+ lbs safely and professionally
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills under stressful conditions
• Ability to drive for extended periods, maintaining alertness and professionalism
• Demonstrated ability to manage stress and perform in uncontrolled or unpredictable environments
• Must maintain competency on assigned and alternate modes of transport

MedCare was created to meet the demand by MedFlight’s consortium health systems, OhioHealth and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, and other Ohio hospital systems for greater oversight into the level and quality of care their patients receive from the point of discharge to their arrival at their next destination, be it home or another facility for further rehabilitation. MedCare operates seven bases throughout central and southern Ohio with an average of 50 vehicles on the road per day to meet the needs of patients and their caregivers. On average, MedCare completes 75,000 service requests per year.
