Key Qualifications:

• Active Michigan teaching certification with Special Education endorsement (must be included in your application)
• Previous experience working with students in special education settings preferred
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Proficiency in adapting curriculum to support varied learning styles and abilities
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and external stakeholders

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized instruction aligned with students’ IEPs
• Create a safe, engaging, and respectful classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and needs
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support student growth
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports
• Participate in professional development to stay current on best practices
