Step into a meaningful role supporting high school students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic resource room environment. Two contract positions—full-time and part-time—are available for the upcoming academic year near Canton, MI, with a start date of September 8, 2026.

As an essential part of the school’s special education team, you’ll empower students with academic encouragement, targeted social-emotional support, and proactive behavior interventions. The caseload consists of approximately 14–20 students for the full-time position and around 10 students for part-time, all within grades 9–12. Your expertise will be key in guiding students’ success through individualized learning and care.

The ideal candidate brings:

• Experience working in special education settings, preferably at the high school level
• Michigan Special Education Certification (active or substitute credentials accepted)
• Knowledge of resource room models and strategies for promoting academic and behavioral growth
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families
• Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
