Assistant Project Manager

The Assistant Project Manager will play a key role in supporting project execution from preconstruction through closeout, partnering closely with project leadership on coordination, documentation, scheduling support, and field operations. Description Support day-to-day project coordination across all phases of construction Manage RFIs, submittals, change documentation, and project tracking logs to ensure timely execution and accurate recordkeeping Maintain current drawing sets, contract documents, and overall project documentation Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up items while helping keep teams aligned on project deliverables Assist with permitting efforts, procurement activities, and project closeout documentation Help track procurement timelines and long-lead materials, escalating potential delays or issues to project leadership when necessary Contribute to schedule updates, progress reporting, and overall project planning efforts Work alongside field leadership to support inspections, quality assurance, safety compliance, and ongoing jobsite coordination Participate in safety meetings, QA/QC processes, and field walkthroughs to help maintain project standards Document site progress, existing conditions, and daily field activities through reports and progress photos Coordinate with subcontractors and assist in leading meetings as directed by the Project Manager or Superintendent Maintain organized project records within Procore and utilize Bluebeam and Microsoft Office tools for reporting, communication, and document management Profile Associate degree required; degree or coursework in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred 6 months to 3 years of construction management experience, including internships or co-op experience Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across project teams Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings, specifications, and project documents Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Proven ability to meet deadlines and adapt to shifting project priorities Reliable transportation and willingness to work on active construction job sites Job Offer Strong base salary with path for growth and mentorship Competitive 401(k) program with company match Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Health Savings Account (HSA) options Company-paid life and AD&D insurance Short- and long-term disability coverage Employee Assistance Program (EAP) resources Generous paid time off package - 3 weeks Clear opportunities for career growth and advancement MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
