Job Summary:
The organization is seeking qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) for a Surgical Acute unit located in Peoria, Illinois. Candidates will provide post-operative care to patients, demonstrating critical thinking skills and a good bedside manner. The position involves working in a fast-paced environment with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Peoria, Illinois
• Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with day shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM and night shifts from 07:30 PM to 07:00 AM. Positions include 3-12s schedule, with weekend and holiday rotations.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated, active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), at least 1 year of RN experience, and the last four digits of the clinician's Social Security Number.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in post-operative care, critical thinking skills, good bedside manner, ability to work as part of a team.
• Additional Information: The role involves rotating every other holiday. No call or standby requirements. The unit has a mix of patient types including post-op surgical, trauma, overflow medical, dressing changes, wound care, IV therapy, pain management, drains, nasogastric tubes, and central lines. The team includes nurse aides or patient care techs. The unit utilizes the EPIC charting system. Floating to similar units is required for travelers, with specific protocols in place.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
