The Family and Kids Behavioral Counseling Center is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a full-time capacity. This remote position will primarily serve students in a school environment, providing critical mental health support and interventions designed to help them thrive both academically and socially.

Work Environment

This role is designed to be fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your schedule while maintaining access to a collaborative team environment. Working primarily within schools, you will have the opportunity to engage with students and their families, providing essential mental health services in an educational setting. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including psychosocial evaluations, diagnostic interviews, and risk assessments to understand each student’s unique needs.
• Collaborate closely with students, their families, and school staff to develop individualized treatment plans that address specific goals, cultural backgrounds, and preferences.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as CBT, DBT, and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) in various formats including individual, couple, family, and group sessions.
• Deliver crisis intervention services efficiently and effectively, working hand-in-hand with school administrators and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for students experiencing acute distress.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
• Provide psychoeducation for students and families, equipping them with the knowledge, tools, and skills necessary to manage mental health challenges.
• Engage with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers, to coordinate comprehensive and effective care for students.
• Conduct regular outcome assessments to gauge treatment effectiveness, adapting plans as necessary to improve client outcomes.
• Stay current on emerging trends, research, and best practices within mental health, incorporating these insights into daily practice.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain strict confidentiality regarding all patient information.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on students within a school environment, addressing their mental health needs in an educational context. Our clients range from early childhood to adolescence, often presenting with issues related to trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, and family dynamics. By working in an educational setting, the LCSW plays a vital role in promoting positive mental health outcomes, enabling students to better engage with their academic and social environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work is required; a Master's degree in Social Work is preferred.
• Active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for building rapport with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with children and adolescents in school or community settings.
• Prior knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and practices, as well as familiarity with culturally responsive counseling techniques.
• Proven experience conducting mental health assessments and developing individualized treatment plans.

Compensation and Benefits

• The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $84,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
