Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring CNC Machinist/Operators for a local food production company in Mankato, MN. In this role, you’ll operate CNC machining equipment to manufacture parts that meet customer specifications and company standards as well as inspect parts to meet print requirements. What You’ll Do as a CNC Machinist/Operator:

• Operate machine, mounts fixturing, load tools and transfer computer programs
• Machine parts to meet production quality and quantity standards; perform in-process inspection
• Assist other department personnel with machine setups as needed; operates other production equipment as required
• Operates coordinate measuring machine, performs material handling functions and daily machine maintenance as required
• Optimizes the production process by suggesting plant and equipment improvements, makes design suggestions for tooling and fixturing and suggests improvements to the manufacturing approach for customer orders

What You Need to Bring to the CNC Machinist/Operator Role:

• Experience preferred, but will train the right candidate
• Must be comfortable with word processing software
• Must be willing to learn coordinate measuring machines
• Must be willing to learn to read and analyze blueprints / instructions and interpret the equivalent of general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Must be a good listener and able to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers
• Must be willing to learn to calculate figures and amounts such as set offs, proportions and percentages
• Must be able to recognize incomplete or conflicting information / instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Must be able to operate hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, drills, flat files, grinders and other deburring tools
• Must be able to operate a forklift (training provided if needed and manual QC measuring equipment and understand coordinate measuring machines
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; talk; hear; and use hands to feel objects, tools or controls
• Must occasionally reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
