Merck seeks an intern for a 12-week summer position supporting the development and delivery of scientific training programs in oncology. The role involves collaborating with Medical Affairs and Field Medical teams to create training materials, analyze program effectiveness, and lead a strategic project with measurable business impact.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scientific training materials for oncology and related therapeutic areas
- Conduct literature reviews and create learning resources including job aids and infographics
- Analyze training participation metrics and create dashboards to assess program effectiveness
- Collaborate with medical directors and learning professionals on continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead a strategic GST project addressing areas such as training innovation or effectiveness measurement
Requirements
- Currently pursuing PharmD, PhD, MD, or related healthcare/scientific degree
- Strong scientific and analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex clinical information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Interest in Medical Affairs, Field Medical, or scientific communications
- Experience with scientific literature evaluation or educational projects advantageous
Compensation: $39,908 - $111,111 USD
