Merck is hiring interns for a 10-12 week summer 2027 program with the Global Watch Desk team in the Global Security division. The role involves monitoring systems, geopolitical risk assessment, and travel security projects while developing professional experience in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with technical monitoring systems and geopolitical risk initiatives
- Support travel security-related projects and security assessments
- Collect information and develop solutions for assigned projects of limited scope
- Provide backup watch officer shift coverage after two-week training period as needed
Requirements
- Currently enrolled or recent graduate in International Relations, Law, Criminology, Political Science, Public Policy, Behavioral Science, Psychology, Cyber Security, or Computer Science
- Completed at least two years of university coursework toward degree
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with sound analytical abilities
- Problem-solving capabilities and interpersonal skills including teamwork and flexibility
- Ability to commit to full-time employment for 10-12 weeks starting summer 2027
Compensation: $39,908 - $111,111
