Together, we bring MORE change to the world.Learn about the Danaher Business System which makes everything possible.The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the accounting, reporting, and governance of Cepheid's fixed asset portfolio. This role ensures accurate accounting for capital expenditures, fixed assets, and construction-in-progress projects while supporting month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies. The Senior Accountant serves as a key business partner to FP&A, Procurement, Accounts Payable, and operational teams, leading fixed asset inventory programs, supporting audits and internal controls, and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across the organization. This position reports to the Accounting Operations Manager and is part of the US Accounting Departmentand will be fully remote.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:Own the accounting and reporting for fixed assets, including acquisitions, transfers, disposals, capitalization, depreciation, CIP monitoring, journal entries, account reconciliations, rollforwards, and month-end close activities. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies. including but not limited to Danaher’s required quarterly and annual Statutory reporting.Oversee Cepheid's fixed asset lifecycle, including the Corporate Physical Inventory program and RFID asset tracking system. Support internal and external audits, maintain effective internal controls, and ensure accurate asset records and compliance with capitalization policies.Partner with FP&A, Procurement, Accounts Payable, and operational teams to support capital investments and timely asset capitalization. Analyze financial results, provide management reporting, and lead process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.The essential requirements of the job include:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.CPA or CPA candidate preferred.Minimum 5 years of fixed asset accounting experience.Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:n/aIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:Experience supporting large capital expenditure programs preferred.Experience with physical asset inventories and capitalization processes preferred.Experience with SAP Fixed Assets (FI-AA) strongly preferred.Cepheid, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
