APR Consulting, Inc. has been engaged to identify a Scheduler. Location: 1301 N Hagadorn Rd East Lansing, MI 48823 Position: Scheduler Pay Rate: $24.89/hr Duration: 13 weeks Expected Shift: 40 hrs/week Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. One (1) year Clerical experience or secretary in medical setting Or 1 year experience as Medical Assistant whose experience includes order entry and insurance authorization processes. One year data entry and/or customer service experience Excellent word processing and computer typing skills. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must pass a medical terminology assessment test with 80% or greater. Must pass a typing test at 35 words per minute or a data entry test successfully at 7000 keystrokes per hour. The Pre-Service Order Entry Specialist's main objective is to accurately transcribe diagnostic imaging orders received via fax for Sparrow Health System. Responsibilities include: imaging order entry, verification of insurance, validate insurance authorizations, entering ICD-10 codes and completing appropriate medical necessity checking.

Essential Duties: Transcribe fax orders received from physicians or physician offices with accurate medical information to allow for scheduling of appropriate exam. Order entry of all ancillary exams (diagnostic imaging, cardiology, PFTs, EEGs, MRIs, PET Scans, etc..) Enter appropriate ICD-10 codes for scheduling and billing purposes Verify medical necessity check upon order entry Verify insurance eligibility Collect and verify necessary insurance authorization Our client is the one of the largest Healthcare Staffing Provider in the United States, to be assigned at one of their affiliated hospitals/healthcare facilities.
