Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities:

1. Ensures employee wages are paid in accordance with all applicable federal, state, local/provincial regulations, and collective bargaining agreements.
2. Ensures employee payroll deductions are properly calculated and deducted (benefits, wage garnishments, taxes).
3. Responsible for assigned payroll process and data accuracy, including upload file preparation and balancing.
4. Prepare monthly union reports
5. Audits all preview payroll reports for anomalies; identifies and addresses issues within the data set.
6. Assists employees with time and attendance questions.
7. Partners with Internal and External Business Partners to test new functional system enhancements, system updates and integrations.
8. Provides Excel analytics and reporting, ad-hoc and scheduled.
9. Participate in payroll coverage for other regions as needed
10. Is compliant & stays up to date on legislative changes regarding federal, state, local/provincial wage, and tax laws.
11. Delivers excellent customer service by providing accurate and meaningful answers to employee wage, and tax inquiries.
12. Collaborates with other shared service divisions.
13. Adheres to learning guides/Standard Operations Procedures ("SOP") and best practice content.
14. Maintains payroll record retention for all edits and adjustments.
15. Other duties as assigned

Target Compensation:

• $55,00- $60,000 Annual Salary

Education:

• Bachelors or better in Human Resource Administration or related field.

Experience:

• Experience with payroll applications such as ADP and/or UKG Pro
• Analytical mindset with a strong sense of urgency and flexibility
• Strong organizational skills & the ability to meet strict deadlines
• Proficient in Excel, Word and other MS office applications
• Experience in execution of Union payroll (preferred)
• 3+ years of progressive payroll experience

• RI Lottery License Ops (Required)
• IN Non-Licensed (Preferred)
• MS Non-Licensed (Preferred)
• NJ Non-Licensed (Preferred)
• NV Gaming Registration (Preferred)
