Registered Nurse - Specialty Care/Transport - Per Diem Days

About This Role The Specialty Care Transport Nurse will utilize the nursing process and established best practices to assess, plan, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in both out-of-hospital and interfacility environments. This role is ideal for nurses who understand and apply specialized critical care principles and techniques. Highlights Location: Lakewood, NJ Schedule: Per Diem, Day shift What You’ll Do Collaborate and communicate with all members of the interdisciplinary team. Maintain a cooperative relationship among health care teams. Attend educational workshops and review professional publications. Delegate patient care activities to qualified individuals. Participate in the collection, analysis, and application of performance improvement data. Ensure the safety of patients during transport, providing necessary life support measures. Establish patient care goals and educate patients and families. Ensure the unit remains ready in terms of mechanical reliability and supplies. Collect health history data from patients and families. Perform assessments to identify patients' needs according to developmental and cultural factors. Document all data and findings in accordance with hospital policy. Sign all necessary documents by the end of the assigned shift. Participate in unit-specific QA/QI projects. Adhere to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior. Requirements Education Graduate of an approved School of Nursing BSN preferred Experience Demonstrates the ability to successfully complete orientation and all associated competencies Licenses & Certifications Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification within 60 days of entering position Valid Driver's License from a USA state Prehospital Trauma Life Support Certification or Trauma Nursing Core Course Certification within 60 days of entering position Emergency Medical Technician Certification New Jersey within 60 days of entering position Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 60 days of entering position Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic Certification (MICP) or Mobile Intensive Care Nurse certification (MICN) required for 911/Advanced Life Support response only #J-18808-Ljbffr
