Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that align with clients’ personal goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs.

• Implement evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting them based on client feedback and progress.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans in response to changes in clients’ situations or condition.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and various healthcare professionals to ensure clients receive comprehensive and integrated care.

• Stay informed on current research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders to continually enhance therapeutic practices.

• Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and adhere strictly to legal and ethical guidelines in all documentation and client interactions.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and strategies for client care.

• Engage in advocacy efforts aimed at reducing mental health stigma while championing clients’ needs within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our LMFTs work predominantly with clients suffering from mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Additional focus includes vulnerable populations such as those who are homeless, refugees, or survivors of domestic abuse. You will provide crucial support and interventions that enable individuals to navigate their challenges and achieve improved mental well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Active and current license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related mental health field.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster a secure and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
