Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Collaborate with clients to design and implement individualized treatment plans that consider their specific requirements, ambitions, and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate recovery.

• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, various treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

• Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to respond to changing needs.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and medical professionals to ensure comprehensive client care.

• Stay informed about the latest research and trends in mood disorders to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with adults and families experiencing a wide range of mood disorders. Your clients may include individuals facing homelessness, refugees adjusting to new environments, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your role will be pivotal in helping these clients navigate their challenges and foster resilience through supportive therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential.
