Marketing Manager, CommunicationsOlson Kundig is a design practice founded on the ideas that buildings can serve as a bridge between nature, culture, and people, and that inspiring surroundings have a positive effect on people's lives. The firm's work can be found across the globe, with projects as wide-ranging as huts to high rises, homes - often for art collectors - to academic, cultural, and civic projects, museums and exhibition design, places of worship, creative production, urban design, and interior design. We are seeking a Marketing Manager, Communications who will lead the firm's communications function. This role partners closely with marketing leadership and external PR partners to execute a comprehensive communications strategy across media relations, content, digital platforms, visual media, awards, and events. The selected candidate must be based in either Seattle or New York and is expected to work regularly from the office in one of those locations. Limited travel may be required.Primary Responsibilities:Lead and manage a team of Marketing Coordinators and Specialists across communications, digital, visual media, and editorialOversee communications strategy execution across media relations, digital platforms, awards, and eventsManage workflow, assign work, and balance team capacity to ensure timely, high-quality deliveryServe as a primary point of escalation for team and project-related issuesManage communications planning calendar and align priorities across internal teamsOversee development of press materials, media outreach, and PR partner relationshipsGuide content creation across publications, presentations, website, and social mediaLead photography and video documentation effortsManage awards submissions and track resultsOversee execution of events, lectures, and presentationsTrack communications budgets and reportingLead special projects such as books and exhibitionsQualificationsMust Have:Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Journalism, English, or a related fieldExperience: 8–10 years of relevant experience within the AEC industry; experience managing teams and communications programs; strong organizational, writing, and storytelling skillsDigital Literacy: Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Instagram, LinkedInStrongNice to Have:Interest in architecture, design, and the built environmentExperience in visual storytelling, photography, or editorial contentExperience developing team members & fostering collaborationExperience in creative or design environmentsWhat You Can Expect:A creative work environment and colleagues who are collaborative, creative, and challengingOpportunity to grow professionallyCheck our culture page to learn about life at Olson KundigEqual Opportunity & Pay TransparencyOlson Kundig is an Equal Opportunity Employer. For this position based in either New York City, New York or Seattle, Washington, the annual salary is between $130,000 and $155,000. Final salary decisions are made based upon the extent and relevance of the candidate's experience, as well as internal equity and external market factors.
