Staff AccountantLocation: Ardmore | Oklahoma City | Tulsa, OK (Onsite) Schedule: Full-time Compensation: $65,000 – $80,000Job Summary: NOW CFO is conducting a private search on behalf of an independent insurance agency in Oklahoma with offices in Ardmore and Oklahoma City. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper to own the day-to-day accounting operations of the agency. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a small business environment, takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, and brings reliability and confidentiality to everything they do.ResponsibilitiesAccounting & BookkeepingProcess full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivableEnsure agency bill checks are processed and sent to carriers by the 15th of each monthHandle commission processing and resolve payment discrepanciesPerform account reconciliations and bank reportingPay bills and manage vendor relationshipsProcess payroll twice monthlySupport month-end closeCollaborate with the external CPA during tax season including 1099 preparationCorrect CSR reports as neededReporting & OperationsRun financial and operational reports for Producers and firm leadershipSet up usernames and system logins for staffProvide administrative and operational support as neededMust Have Qualifications3–5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experienceStrong computer and cloud-based software proficiencyAdaptable, dependable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneouslyHigh level of confidentiality and professionalismNice to Have QualificationsExperience with Applied Epic (cloud-based agency management system)Insurance agency industry backgroundHR management experience including benefits enrollment and retirement plan administrationCompensation & Benefits$65,000 – $80,000 annuallyMedical, dental, and visionPTO401k
