As Key Account Director for a top North American key account, you will lead a cross‑functional team of sales, marketing, eCommerce, and operations specialists to drive meaningful growth and unlock the partnership’s full potential. Core Responsibilities Operate as the general manager for the key account, defining and delivering joint business plans that meet shared strategic objectives and capitalize on the customer’s unique value proposition. Drive cross‑functional collaboration across the Business Unit, inspiring team success and representing a comprehensive market approach in shared decision‑making forums. Innovate go‑to‑market principles to deliver an integrated and ambitious commercial and promotional plan. Coach and develop a high‑performing team, fostering accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement. Results Orientation Own the customer P&L, focusing on both LEGO Group and customer economics to drive profitable growth and productivity. Take a data‑driven approach to performance measurement, tracking key metrics and driving robust promo effectiveness analysis. Collaborate with Operations to co‑develop forecasts and lead an operational innovation agenda using digital tools for standardization and automation. Relationship Elevation Negotiate mutually valuable trade agreements using a data‑driven approach. Apply insights to develop a test‑and‑learn agenda for future growth opportunities. Upskill and develop sales and eCommerce teams, providing best‑in‑class key account management. Strategic Orientation Work with the Key Account VP to define a 3‑5 year vision aligned with broader LEGO Group priorities. Collaborate cross‑functionally to improve opportunities across audiences, themes, and key occasions, including events centered on online sales. Drive eCommerce and sales competence through continuous upskilling. Qualifications Significant customer‑facing experience in consumer packaged goods and experience in eCommerce. Proven account‑management skills with an insight‑based approach that builds mutually beneficial solutions. Strong negotiation, long‑term planning, inventory collaboration, and critical‑thinking skills. Track record of successful commercial management and ability to manage external partners at medium‑to‑high complexity. Experience leading large‑scale customer businesses in retail and/or eCommerce, with formal people‑leadership experience preferred. Business acumen, collaborative approach, strong communication, team orientation, and integrity. Ability to manage multiple priorities across functions with strong planning and organization. Self‑motivated, creative, results‑driven with critical thinking and trend insight. Proficiency in LEGO Leadership Playground behaviors (bravery, curiosity, focus). Ability to articulate complex topics concisely and explain rationale through data and insights. Comfort interacting with senior and C‑suite leaders. Experience working with large U.S. or Canadian retailers, especially in fast‑moving consumer goods. Relocation No relocation budget is provided for this role. Hybrid Working Model The role is a 3‑day in‑office hybrid model, flexible to accommodate diverse life situations. Compensation The annual salary range is $169,031 – $253,547, based on responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints.
