Job Title Vice President Operations (West Coast) Location Hybrid Remote — Candidates may be based anywhere in the Western United States with convenient access to Reno, NV; Sacramento, CA; and Las Vegas, NV. Classification Exempt / Full-Time Travel Approximately 30–50% travel required, including regular travel to clinic locations, leadership meetings, and future expansion markets. Reports To Christopher Stephenson, MD – Founder & CEO Compensation $150,000–$220,000 base salary plus annual performance incentive. About the Role Rincon is seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to lead the operational execution of our growing multi‑site specialty healthcare organization. Reporting directly to the Founder and CEO, the Vice President of Operations will oversee day‑to‑day operations across Rincon's multi‑state footprint, partnering closely with clinic leaders and executive leadership to build scalable systems, improve operational performance, and support continued geographic expansion. While this position is remote, the successful candidate will spend significant time onsite with clinic teams and leadership. Success in this role requires a highly visible leader who enjoys building relationships, coaching teams in person, and maintaining a strong operational presence across all locations. This executive will partner closely with the CEO to implement organizational strategy while maintaining responsibility for operational excellence. Responsibilities Operational Leadership Lead operational performance across all clinic locations. Develop standardized operating procedures that improve consistency, quality, and efficiency. Create accountability systems that support high‑performing teams and sustainable growth. Oversee daily clinic operations while identifying opportunities to improve patient experience, provider productivity, and operational effectiveness. Partner with clinical leadership to ensure operational decisions support exceptional patient outcomes. Growth & Expansion Lead operational planning for new clinic openings and geographic expansion. Oversee operational readiness, including staffing, workflows, credentialing, payer contracting, equipment, technology, and launch planning. Develop scalable infrastructure capable of supporting continued multi‑state growth. Evaluate operational opportunities that improve market presence and organizational performance. Financial & Business Performance Develop and manage operational budgets. Monitor key performance indicators and operational dashboards. Partner with finance leadership to improve operating margins and resource utilization. Identify opportunities to improve revenue cycle performance, operational efficiency, and cost management. Translate operational data into actionable recommendations for executive leadership. Process Improvement & Infrastructure Build scalable systems that support continued organizational growth. Optimize workflows across scheduling, patient access, staffing, billing coordination, technology, and administrative operations. Partner with technology vendors and internal stakeholders to maximize the effectiveness of operational systems, including the electronic health record and practice management platforms. Establish reporting processes that provide meaningful operational insights and support executive decision‑making. Leadership & Talent Development Build, mentor, and develop a high‑performing operations team. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and patient‑centered service. Coach operational leaders while creating clear expectations and measurable performance standards. Partner with Human Resources to support workforce planning, leadership development, recruitment, and employee engagement initiatives. Organizational Readiness Develop operational documentation, reporting structures, and standardized processes that support organizational maturity. Assist executive leadership in preparing the organization for future strategic growth opportunities, including expansion initiatives and potential investment activity. Support due diligence efforts by ensuring operational metrics, documentation, and performance reporting are accurate, organized, and scalable. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Seven or more years of progressive healthcare operations leadership experience. Demonstrated success leading multi‑site physician practices, outpatient clinics, ambulatory care, or specialty healthcare organizations. Experience managing operating budgets and driving measurable financial performance. Strong understanding of healthcare operations, including staffing, scheduling, credentialing, payer contracting, compliance, and revenue cycle coordination. Proven ability to build operational infrastructure in a growing organization. Experience developing KPIs, dashboards, and performance management systems. Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship‑building skills. Ability to travel regularly between clinic locations and future expansion markets. Preferred Master's degree (MBA, MHA, or related field). Experience in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Neurology, Orthopedics, Pain Management, or other specialty physician practice environments. Experience supporting private equity diligence, acquisitions, or other significant organizational growth initiatives. Experience leading organizations through rapid expansion or multi‑state growth. What Success Looks Like During the first 12–18 months, the Vice President of Operations will: Standardize operational processes across all clinic locations. Improve operational visibility through meaningful KPI reporting and executive dashboards. Strengthen leadership accountability throughout the organization. Successfully support the launch of new markets and clinic locations. Improve operational efficiency while maintaining an exceptional patient experience. Evaluate and own staffing strategy across all levels of the organization, including the recruitment and management of physicians, contractors, and other key team members, to ensure exceptional patient care and operational excellence. Build the infrastructure necessary to support Rincon's long‑term strategic growth.
