Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic – 2nd Shift at our Troy, IL facility. The core hours are Monday – Friday, 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.; overtime may exceed these hours and may be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $27.92 per hour, plus a $0.50 shift differential per hour. What you’ll do: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and machinery. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment and mechanical issues. Install, repair, and/or fabricate new equipment and components as needed. Support the Tier 1 & 2 operational processes through completion of action cards and rapid response activities. Support physical transformation and continuous improvement (GDP) initiatives throughout the facility. Primary Equipment and Tools: Mobile Equipment Hand & Power Tools Electrical Tools Test Equipment Saws Shears Welding Equipment Presses Drill Presses Brake Press Required Safety and Quality Training (included but not limited to): Lockout‑Tagout Training Hydraulic Training Electrical Training Power Press Guarding Fall Protection Confined Space Training Troubleshooting PLC Issues Powered Industrial Truck – Maintenance specific Overhead Crane PM Adherence Mechanical Power Press Hot Work Permit First Aid/CPR Blood Borne Pathogens Laser Maintenance SPPC/Storm Water Sprinkler inspection 8 hour Hazardous waste/DOT manifesting and labeling Waste Water System operation Asbestos Qualifications: No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Troy, IL will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Position Success Criteria: Ability to operate rigging equipment to include nylon straps, wire-braded straps, wire-braded chain slings, sheet stock handler, rail rack attachment and spreader bars.
