Accounting Assistant

Accounting Assistant *IN OFFICE POSITION ONLY NOT REMOTE * Job Description Geotech Engineering and Testing are currently in search of an Accounting Assistant. The Accounting Assistant position is a salary position with benefits and yearly evaluations after a 90‑day probation period. The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for processing payroll for all employees on a bi‑weekly basis, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collecting past dues, keeping track of sick/vacation time, vendor payments, payroll taxes for each payroll period, and processing quarterly and yearly taxes. Requirements Must be able to work 40 hours a week. Must be able to work Monday‑Friday. Must have experience in secretary/accounting. Must have good communication skills. Must be knowledgeable in QuickBooks Accounting. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks Desktop. Must be able to collect past dues. Must be able to type 45 WPM. Must be able to multi‑task. Must be able to answer multi‑phone lines. Industry knowledge is a definite plus but not required.
