We're looking for dynamic Industrial Maintenance Mechanics to keep our manufacturing equipment operating at peak performance.In this position, you'll work with a variety of heavy industrial machinery, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, performing repairs, and executing preventive maintenance to reduce downtime. Every day brings new challenges, requiring technical expertise, quick thinking, and a commitment to safety and quality.Job DescriptionPay: $33–$42/hr base pay + year-end bonus$2/hr shift differential for hours worked 5pm-5am$85K–$107K average annual income based on experienceWork Schedule: Monday-Thursday 5pm-5amLocation: Douglassville, PA (Serving Reading, Pottstown, Phoenixville, Exeter, Birdsboro, Boyertown, and surrounding areas)Position: Techo-Bloc is on the hunt for their next Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. Our technicians are highly proficient in maintaining and troubleshooting our production equipment.Duties and Responsibilities:Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace mechanical components such as motors, gear boxes, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and augers.Leads troubleshooting and repairs of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pressure issues, large cylinders, sensors, proportional valves, solenoids & pumpsStick welding in various positions, locations throughout the factory utilizing various types of jointsLeads emergency breakdowns to minimize unscheduled downtime of production equipment.Splice, track, tension, align and replace components on conveyor systemsReplacing wear parts by disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, and refurbishing or replacing components. i.e.- gearboxes, hydraulic cylinders, bearing, etc.Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, laser alignment tools and various other tools.Repair, install and dismantle heavy industrial production equipment according to plans which involves working at heights, climbing ladders and using mobile equipment (cranes, forklift, scissor lift, etc.).Enter daily tasks, parts used and time into work order systemDiagnose and replace faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, load cells, switches, contactors, motors, etc.Reference technical documentation, electrical schematics, equipment manuals and service instructions to complete work accuratelyQualificationsQualifications:3 + years' experience working in Heavy Industrial Maintenance. Technical degrees/certificates in welding, electro-mechanical, electric or related field preferredPrevious experience using bearing heaters, interference fits, and/or removing gear boxes or seized bearings/shaftsAdvanced stick welding and fabrication skills repairing heavy industrial equipmentBasic understanding of motor controls, PLCs (programmable logic controllers), and VFDs (variable frequency drives) is preferredBasic industrial electrical experienceExperienced with rigging, hoisting, and equipment installationExperienced with precision alignment and fine adjustmentsProficiency in precision measuring utilizing high-accuracy tools like micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc. to verify tight tolerances in manufacturingProficient with use of power tools and fabrication equipment. i.e. grinders, drills, welding, saws, press, bearing heaters, torch, etc.Experienced working with CMMS and MS Office SuiteWhy Techo-Bloc?We take care of our team with strong pay, reliable hours, and real benefits.Weekly Pay Medical / Dental / Vision 401(k) + Company Match Life Insurance + STD + LTD Paid Time Off Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Employee product discounts Training & Development opportunities Uniforms provided after 3 months Boot reimbursement programAdditional InformationPhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
