Head of Software Product Management – Formlabs Location: Somerville, MA, USA. Full‑time, onsite. Responsibilities Lead your team through the full product life cycle; from conception, through development, to launch and commercialization. Impact decision making inside and outside the software engineering realm, ensuring all software decisions align with hardware and material products. Collaborate with leaders from different disciplines to drive product strategy. Understand the user through research and competitive analysis. Anticipate market needs, identify gaps where Formlabs can excel, and act as a product thought leader. Mentor and develop existing product managers; hire top talent and identify team fit. Navigate ambiguity and deliver a clear roadmap, building solutions that have never been done before. Qualifications Computer science or embedded engineering background. At least 5 years of experience in a product management role. Previous experience leading a team with 5+ direct reports. Bias for action, able to drive processes forward. Experience in B2B tech space preferred. Bonus: Started a company or new product from scratch, led high‑performing teams, scaled teams. Product Portfolio Firmware/UI – support 3D printers with industrial quality firmware and world‑class user experience. Desktop – evolve Preform, the command and control engine for close to 100k printers in the field. IoT – Dashboard, the gateway for customers, enabling remote monitoring, scheduling, and connectivity.
