Job Summary The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant provides speech language therapy services to clinic patients under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). Pay Range Minimum $48.00 Midpoint $48.00 Maximum $49.00 Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements. Experience None required. Education Associate degree in Speech Pathology or Communicative Disorders from an accredited program. Training None required. Specialized Skills Must be able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Must be able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently. Preferred: Conversational fluency in sign language or a second language, particularly Spanish or Vietnamese. Licensure California license as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant; Basic Life Support (BLS). Work Environments - Functional Demand Sedentary - Very light energy level. Lift 10 lbs. box overhead.
