Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients from pediatric through geriatric populations utilizing standardized tests and observational assessments.
• Create individualized treatment plans focusing on both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions that encompass communication, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing rehabilitation.
• Collaborate effectively with a team comprised of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to establish unified care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond the clinical setting.
• Assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions when required, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintain precise documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Keep abreast of the latest developments in the field through ongoing education and collaborative discussions with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hiring.
