Senior Program Manager - Transportation

Job Title Senior Program Manager - Transportation Location Illinois - Chicago Responsibilities Lead and manage complex transportation programs from planning through execution, coordinating with state and local agencies to ensure project delivery. Provide technical leadership on rail/transit and bridge projects, supporting construction management activities while maintaining safety and quality standards. Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and documentation, ensuring clarity, professionalism, and adherence to regulations. Foster strong stakeholder relationships and maintain clear, professional communication throughout all project phases. Lead creation and delivery of moderate to highly complex consulting analyses, recommendations, and management reports. Collaborate with sales staff on proposals, review drafts for regulatory compliance, and provide project status updates to clients. Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff, mentor, and support their development. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree. 15 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Preferred Qualifications Registered professional engineer in Illinois – civil or structural engineering preferred. At least 5 years of program management experience. Construction management experience. Experience with local or state agencies. Experience with roadway, rail/transit, or bridge projects. Strong written communication skills. Fluency in English.
