Work Environment\n

This role offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, enabling therapists to connect with clients in a comfortable and convenient manner. The traditional work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing a consistent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the symptoms of mood disorders and formulate a clear understanding of each client’s unique challenges.

• Craft individualized treatment plans that incorporate client goals, preferences, and evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Support clients and their families by providing education about mental health, available treatment options, and self-care strategies to enhance overall well-being.

• Monitor client progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective care.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other healthcare providers, to provide holistic care tailored to client needs.

• Engage in ongoing professional development by staying updated on the latest research and therapeutic techniques relevant to mood disorders.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to share insights and strategies for client advocacy.

• Advocate for mental health awareness and destigmatization, addressing the unique challenges faced by clients, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LMFT will mainly work with clients experiencing mood disorders, including conditions such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our clientele often includes vulnerable populations, including those impacted by homelessness, domestic violence, and significant life transitions. By providing compassionate care rooted in empathy and understanding, you will play a significant role in helping clients navigate their journeys to recovery and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
