In addition, GBM Operations provide essential risk management and control to preserve and enhance the firm’s assets and its reputation. The Loan Data Quality team is responsible for ongoing management of loan product data and regulatory reporting functions. Daily interactions with key stakeholders such as Bankers, Legal, Credit, Risk and Technology are crucial to the role to ensure timely and effective risk management & client service.HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL Gain a comprehensive understanding of the bank loan business and understanding loan structuresLeverage your quantitative skills to decompose complex loan structures and enable timely risk bookingAssume accountability and ownership of complex situations, offering own expertise to influence outcomesRisk Management – Partner with regional management team to provide effective oversight of key loan product data attributesDay-to-day issue resolution through effective time management, prioritization, multi-tasking and partnership with all teams/divisionsContinually adapt to changes in the business, markets and regulatory environmentCollaborate with stakeholders to mitigate risks associated with bespoke workflowsShowcase your ability to function as a team player in a highly collaborative environment while working closely with internal and external stakeholders such as Business Groups, Reporting Controllers, Risk, Technology and Operations LeadershipGrow with the team - develop a deeper understanding of complex transactions & work with business partners on organizational goalsCollaborate with global team counterparts on business support fostering a global loan support modelContribute to firm’s transformation/strategic initiatives with keen sense of automation & process re-engineeringSupport MIS reporting, including key risk indicators, trends and milestones of the teamSKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR -BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in a finance related field preferredMinimum experience of 3 years in syndicated loan / institutional lending operations & total experience of 4 - 7 yearsProven analytical skills & document review skills with prompt-writing as an added advantageProblem solving ability and a risk-control mindset paired with meticulous attention to detailAptitude for building relationships and ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal clients with differing levels of product experienceSelf-motivated and proactive team player, who takes ownership and accountability of projects, has strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage competing prioritiesFlexible and able to work well under pressure within a team environmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSFinancial or quantitative educational backgroundUnderstanding of Syndicated Loan OperationsExperience in AI prompt writing/developing business requirements/rules for automationABOUT GOLDMAN SACHSAt Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
