Preference is given to candidates who are ABD or have a completed Ph.D. and who have relevant training and teaching experience for the course(s) or area of specialization. GSP 101 Lab Instructor Minimum Qualifications Degree: Earned Bachelor’s degree and graduate‑level work in a related area OR earned Bachelor’s degree and advanced‑level work in a related area. Experience: Demonstrated experience teaching this subject, including ability to teach ArcGIS, use of differential GPS, fundamentals of Remote Sensing and Cartographic Design. Preferred: Evidence of scholarly preparation specific to the course, including coursework taken, scholarship (written or published work, or presentations), consulting, or other professional experience. GSP 316, 416 & 426 Minimum Qualifications Degree: Earned master’s degree in an appropriate field, or compensating experience. Experience: Demonstrated experience in teaching this subject or closely related subjects, including ability to teach ArcView and use of differential GPS. Preferred: Evidence of scholarly preparation specific to the course, including coursework taken, scholarship (written or published work, or presentations), consulting, travel or other professional experience. GSP 316 Lab Instructor Minimum Qualifications Degree: Earned Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field. Experience: Evidence of familiarity with current mapping sciences techniques. Salary: Dependent on qualifications and experience. The salary schedule for the Lecturer – Academic Year Classification is as follows: Lecturer A $5,507 – $6,677 Lecturer B $6,221 – $13,224 Lecturer C $6,825 – $14,523 Appointees are typically placed at the beginning of the range. The full‑time (15 units per semester) monthly base salaries indicated above are prorated to the number of units worked and are paid in six monthly payments for each full semester.
