This is a high-impact clinical leadership role. You’ll directly influence the quality of care, support the growth of clinical staff, and help clients build a foundation for lasting recovery. This role is ideal for someone who can balance strong clinical expertise with leadership, coaching, and coordination across a multidisciplinary care environment. You won’t just manage cases—you’ll shape treatment journeys, strengthen clinical teams, and ensure clients receive comprehensive, compassionate care across every stage of recovery. Responsibilities Partner with clinical staff to develop and refine comprehensive treatment plans that address mental health, substance use, educational, and vocational needs Lead and participate in interdisciplinary case conferences to ensure aligned, high-quality care Deliver individual, group, and workshop-based therapeutic services in collaboration with the clinical team Provide ongoing clinical supervision, coaching, and staff development, fostering skill-building and accountability Oversee and coordinate patient case management, working closely with social services, legal entities, schools, and community providers Review and ensure quality of clinical documentation, supporting compliance and best practices Lead or support clinical case review processes and continuous program improvement efforts Guide clients and staff through treatment progression, ensuring appropriate transitions and continuity of care Support discharge planning and re-entry, ensuring clients are equipped with resources and referrals for long-term success Qualifications Educational Requirements: Master’s degree in social work or mental health counseling Licenses/Certifications: Independent license issued by New York State (e.g., LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LPC, or equivalent); Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in good standing is strongly preferred Experience: Minimum three to five years of experience working in substance use disorder treatment Experience: Minimum two years of experience providing clinical supervision and staff development Experience: Familiarity with OASAS regulations and those of other relevant bodies (i.e., housing providers, Department of Social Services, etc.) Core Competencies for Success Leadership & Initiative - You step up, take ownership, and elevate those around you Ethical Practice & Professional Judgment - You navigate complex situations with integrity and sound decision-making Relationship Management & Emotional Intelligence - You build trust with clients, staff, and external partners Critical Thinking & Problem Solving - You assess, adapt, and act decisively in dynamic environments Communication & Teamwork - You bring clarity, alignment, and collaboration to multidisciplinary teams Crisis Management - You remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations Cultural Awareness & Professional Boundaries - You deliver respectful, patient-centered care across diverse populations Technical Capacity - You maintain strong documentation, compliance, and clinical systems proficiency Work Environment This job operates in an indoor office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
