Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2 years of trauma experience and circulating skills across multiple surgical specialties.

Job Details

• 37-bed Level 1 Trauma Center operating room department,
• Circulate for General, GU/GYN, Orthopedics, Ortho Trauma, Neurosurgery, open vascular, ENT, dental, and Pediatric surgery cases,
• Experience with Da Vinci Robot surgeries,
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM,
• 14-week assignment length,
• Weekend rotation of 1:4 with 12-hour shifts,
• Uses Epic EMR,
• Float policy of 25 miles between facilities as needed,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (Maine or Compact) required,
• BLS certification required (AHA certification must be completed prior to start if submitted with non-AHA certification),
• Minimum 2 years of Trauma experience required,
• Minimum 2 years of OR circulating experience required,
• Charge RN experience a plus,
• Driver's License required for consideration,
• 2 professional references required,

• Circulate operating room cases across multiple surgical specialties in a Level 1 Trauma Center,
• Candidates should be flexible, accountable, team-oriented, and punctual,
• Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local and not eligible for contract renewals or extensions,
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during consideration,
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at manager's discretion,
• Air pods, laptops, and cell phone usage are prohibited while on the unit,
