Shelter Manager Position

Position Overview

The Shelter Manager provides leadership for daily family shelter operations, ensuring a safe, trauma-informed environment. This role involves supervising custodial staff, maintaining compliance, and supporting families experiencing homelessness.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily shelter operations, safety, and compliance
Supervise, schedule, and support shelter staff
Ensure accurate documentation and data reporting
Manage intake, orientation, and resident support
Coordinate maintenance, supplies, and facility needs
Respond to emergencies and on-site incidents

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience in shelter, residential, crisis services, or related settings
Supervisory experience preferred
Strong leadership and communication skills
Knowledge of trauma-informed care
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data systems
Ability to work a flexible schedule, with occasional availability outside regular business hours as needed.
Bilingual preferred

Starting Salary - $48,000-$53,000
