Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Cook to join our team at Crown Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a 200-bed Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility located in Cortland, New York. As a Cook with our organization, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional culinary services to our residents. Key Responsibilities:

• Meal Preparation & Service : Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of foods for residents, ensuring high-quality meals.
• Baking : Bake rolls, cookies, cakes, and pies, following recipes and dietary specifications.
• Tray Line Service : Work on the tray line during meal service to ensure residents' meals are served efficiently and accurately.
• Kitchen Cleanliness : Maintain a clean kitchen, including hand washing and sanitizing pots and pans.
• General Cleaning : Clean kitchen areas and perform related tasks as needed.

Cook Requirements:

• Experience : Minimum one year of experience in large-scale cooking.
• Leadership : Will manage the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director.
• Transportation : Reliable transportation to and from the facility.
• Physical Capability : Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and standing for long periods.
• Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
• Team Player : Should be a strong team player with excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge : Strong knowledge of large-scale and therapeutic food preparation.
