Work Environment\n

The position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a professional connection with your colleagues. The normal working hours for this role are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts required on a rotational basis to accommodate client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed assessments to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms related to mood disorders in clients.

• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique preferences, goals, and challenges.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to deliver effective treatment interventions.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to enhance their overall mental well-being.
\n
• Track and monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring that clients' mental health needs are holistically addressed.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with ethical and legal guidelines.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to discuss treatment approaches and enhance clinical skills.
\n
• Advocate for the destigmatization of mood disorders and support clients in articulating their mental health needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Therapist at Great Valley Counseling Center, you will primarily work with individuals struggling with mood disorders, including those experiencing severe depression, bipolar disorder, and related anxiety issues. Our diverse clientele encompasses various ages, ethnic backgrounds, and life experiences, which enriches the therapeutic environment and presents unique opportunities for tailored care approaches.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience working with mood disorders is highly preferred.
\n
• Proficient in evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
\n
• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology principles and the ability to work effectively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, demonstrating an ability to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

• Experience in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with documentation best practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
