Billing Specialist

The Billing Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of customer service while performing the following skills.

• Manages large amounts of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner
• Interviews, obtains, and verifies patient information via phone
• Informs patients or customers of any missed or upcoming payment deadlines
• Processes customer payments per Mia Aesthetics' protocols and procedures
• Advises patients about financing options and walks them through the payment process
• Researches and responds appropriately to all balance inquiries
• Generates invoices and conducts financial transactions ensuring they are on track and on time
• Ensures invoices match contracts for upcoming patient surgeries
• Audits the data input in the accounting system to ensure the accuracy of the final bill
• Sends links to patients to be able to self-pay online
• Sends links to patients to be able to self-pay with Care Credit
• Gathers all proper documentation to process a financing payment

Requirements

• Outstanding customer service skills
• Outstanding mathematical skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work with a high sense of urgency
• Ability to efficiently multi-task and prioritize work
• GED or High School Diploma required
• Minimum 1-2 years of customer service experience
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• HIPPA & OSHA Compliance Certification preferred
