Electrician (1st shift)

Job Summary The Operation Support A - Electrician will install, repair, and maintain all electrical and facilities mechanical systems and equipment. In this role you will drive cycle time improvements, EHS actions, and design and implement necessary fixtures and tooling for manufacturing improvements. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair equipment and building electrical systems. Maintain and repair electrical components such as motors, transformers, switchgear, rectifiers, control systems, fire alarms, motor control centers, and shop machinery power feeds. Run conduit, replace fuses, and make new electrical gear installations; troubleshoot circuitry. Perform office electrical maintenance, light trimming, and new installations. Work with schematics and wiring diagrams, order material. Make comprehensive inspections using a variety of inspection instruments and gauges to detect malfunctions. Analyze and diagnose the cause of malfunctions, failures, and repetitive manufacturing problems and recommend and implement proper corrective actions. Execute the repair of control systems and install, maintain, or modify such systems. Perform facilities and equipment maintenance, as needed. Plan, layout, rig, move, erect, and install complex equipment and machinery, including overhead cranes. Keep work areas and equipment clean and operating safely. Train others, as necessary. Participate in and own Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives and performance throughout the plant. Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to improve quality and product flow. Participate in lean initiatives, using Six Sigma tools for process improvements. Identify and implement Kaizens for continuous improvement. Qualifications and Requirements Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline, or military A or C school in a related discipline, or completion of an accredited apprenticeship program with a Journeyman’s card. Experience in electrical maintenance for manufacturing environments. Knowledge of wiring diagrams, schematics, conduit installation, and electrical codes. Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required. Knowledge of EHS regulations and practices. Compensation and Benefits Hourly base pay range: $35.68 to $43.89. Pay may be influenced by experience, education, and skill set. The position is eligible for contractually negotiated general wage increases and COLA increases. Geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
