Kitchen Manager/Head Chef Location: The Commonwealth, 10 Pass Life Way, Snoqualmie Pass, WA 98068 Job Type: Full-Time Salary: $82,000 - $95,000 Salaried (DOE) Overview: We are looking for a Kitchen Manager/Head Chef to build on the current success of the Commonwealth restaurant at Snoqualmie Pass. The Commonwealth has been a community centerpiece over the last 10 years for The Pass Life - a residential development at Snoqualmie Pass at the base of The Summit at Snoqualmie ski area. Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Kitchen Manager/Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and oversee all aspects of culinary operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong leadership abilities, and extensive experience in menu planning, kitchen management, and food preparation. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute innovative seasonal menus that align with the restaurant’s concept and customer preferences. Oversee all food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring high quality and consistency. Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation. Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards, complying with health and safety regulations. Control kitchen costs, including inventory management, portion control, and waste reduction. Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients at competitive prices. Ensure efficient kitchen operations, optimizing workflow and staff productivity. Monitor customer feedback and adapt menu offerings accordingly. Implement and maintain quality control measures to enhance customer satisfaction. Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless communication and service delivery. Qualifications and Requirements: Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, Sous Chef, or similar role in a high-volume kitchen. Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred. Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, international cuisines, and food presentation. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of budgeting, food cost control, and inventory management. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Creativity and a passion for culinary excellence. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
