Job Description

This role focuses on TIG welding aluminum and stainless steel to produce high-quality pizza pans and related products used in commercial food service. You will start with basic tacking and progress to full corner fusing using a TIG welder with a foot pedal, while also supporting other fabrication tasks as needed. Over time, you will build speed and precision in a clean production environment that emphasizes quality, consistency, and continuous skill development.

SHIFT : 6a-2:30p (Mon-Fri)

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel using a TIG welder with a foot pedal, following established procedures and safety practices.
• Fuse the corners of pizza pans with four precise welds at 90-degree angles, ensuring strong, clean, and consistent welds.
• Start with tacking operations and gradually take on full welding responsibilities as skills and confidence develop.
• Primarily fabricate pizza pans and, as needed, assist with the production of pizza cutters and other products used by commercial pizza operations.
• Perform MIG welding on stainless steel to weld racks when required by production demands.
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand dimensions, tolerances, and weld requirements for each product.
• Maintain high precision and attention to detail in all welding and fabrication tasks to meet quality standards.
• Follow production targets by increasing throughput from initial training volumes (such as 25 pans, then 50) toward the goal of completing a pan in under one minute once fully trained.
• Work toward meeting production expectations of up to 400 pans per day, while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Cross-train and assist in different departments or on multiple production lines based on business needs.
• Follow directions from supervisors and leads, and adapt to changing production priorities.
• Maintain good attendance, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic to support team and production goals.
• Keep the work area clean and organized, and follow all safety and housekeeping standards in the manufacturing environment.

Essential Skills

• Basic welding experience, including familiarity with TIG or MIG welding processes.
• Ability to perform TIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel or the aptitude and willingness to develop this skill.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints for fabrication and welding tasks.
• Strong precision and attention to detail to produce consistent, high-quality welds.
• Manufacturing or fabrication experience in a production environment, or the ability to adapt quickly to production workflows.
• Capability to follow directions accurately and consistently.
• Willingness to cross-train into different departments and support multiple production lines as needed.
• Reliable attendance and a positive attitude that supports a productive team environment.
• Ability and willingness to increase production speed over time, ultimately aiming to complete a pan in under one minute once trained.
• Physical ability to perform repetitive welding and fabrication tasks throughout the shift.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean manufacturing facility with multiple production lines and departments dedicated to producing pizza pans and related products. You will primarily weld aluminum for approximately 8590% of the time and work with stainless steel for about 1015% of the time. The environment is organized and production-focused, with clear expectations for output and quality. You will use TIG welding machines equipped with foot pedals, along with MIG welding equipment for stainless racks as needed. The setting supports cross-training, allowing you to move between different departments and tasks depending on business needs. Dress code follows typical manufacturing standards, requiring appropriate work attire and adherence to safety and personal protective equipment requirements.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
