Job Description Role Overview This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work independently and produce results to meet customer deadlines. This role is responsible for optimizing the end-to-end proposal and contract management process, ensuring high-quality, customer‑tailored proposals and contracts for clean battery storage solutions are delivered on time and meet all technical and commercial requirements. Key Responsibilities Oversees and standardizes proposal processes across multiple teams and geographies. Sets organizational‑level frameworks and tools to ensure customer requirements are always captured and addressed. Evaluates process effectiveness and implements systemic improvements. Ensures consistency and scalability of proposal management across the business. Manages and creates multiple compelling proposals to provide equipment sales, turn‑key EPC solutions, and LTSA services for energy storage projects. This includes understanding RFP / RFQ requirements, establishing a winning bid strategy, and coordinating with engineering, commercial, and legal teams to understand project requirements and risks. Manages and coordinates contract documentation during the negotiation phase of multiple complex opportunities, overseeing the transition from RFP response to contracting. Develops proposal compliance matrix and risk analysis throughout proposal development effort. Utilizes RFP software to improve efficiency and standardization of proposals. Leads the development of standard proposal templates, including writing, proofing, editing, and developing graphic concepts. Provides concise feedback to the Product, Engineering, and Sales Operations organizations on potential improvements in offer content. Contributes to the development and maintenance of a repository for templates, standard language, product collateral, exhibits, and other resources. Coordinated and participates in Sales Approval meetings, as required. Maintains an accurate record of all active opportunities in Salesforce and other similar programs. Required Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field (MBA preferred). 8–10 years of experience in proposal management or a similar role, ideally in energy storage or renewable energy sectors with 3–5 years of relevant contract negotiation experience, including complex multi‑million dollar proposal management. Advanced knowledge of the proposal and contract lifecycle, from RFP review to final submission and post‑submission follow‑up through the contract negotiation. Confident communicator with a proven record of high situational awareness and the ability to understand the needs and wants of all parties engaged in a contract negotiation. Proven experience in bid management for equipment, turn‑key EPC, and LTSA complex large‑scale projects in an international environment. Experience in the energy storage industry is preferred. Works well under pressure and demanding deadlines. Strong technical knowledge of the energy industry preferred. Incredible attention to detail and strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Demonstrated interest in the energy industry through work experiences, extracurricular activities, or coursework. Excellent presentation, communication, persuasion, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and understand technical and commercial specifications and requirements such as engineering drawings (SLD, Layout) and Terms and Conditions (TCs). Close attention to detail. Desire to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced entrepreneurial environment. Comfortable working as part of a multi‑functional team with strong interpersonal, project management, and team‑building skills. Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills (written, verbal, client service). Result oriented. Track record of taking ownership over responsibilities and pursuing them diligently. Ability to understand and synthesize complex technical, product, and information. Expert in the use of Microsoft Office products, competent in using Salesforce. Experience with RFP software is a plus. Quick ability to adapt as the needs of the business evolve. Ability to travel as needed (estimated up to 25%).
