Proposal Manager

As a Proposal Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the entire proposal process from start to finish, including proposal development, project management, team leadership, quality assurance, client/teammate interaction, and process improvement. You will be responsible for participating in proposal efforts on behalf of Veracity Engineering through the proposal process from its government and commercial customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for reviewing the solicitation document and determining key proposal Providing input and managing a schedule for writing, reviews, and production based on the submission due date Create the necessary templates and outlines to assist writers in developing compliant responses Incorporate and format written responses from data calls into a formal review document at each level of review Track schedule and progress to ensure all deadlines are met Review draft proposal responses to ensure win themes are developed and strategies are incorporated into the proposal Ability to write original text for such activities as Executive Summaries, company qualifications / capabilities, past performance, resumes, and other marketing related materials Maintain Veracity’s CRM/Opportunity Pipeline Assist with the review of proposal drafts to ensure readability and compliance without distorting the author’s original intent Conduct interviews and work closely with subject matter experts to ensure a comprehensive and compliant response Assist with creating capture plans and gate review presentations Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, engineering, or related field is preferred Experience: 3 – 5 years of experience with the Shipley Process for Capture and Proposals Experience managing group/team responses for IDIQ / Task Order based proposal efforts Experience with CRM/Opportunity-Pipeline management system(s) Experience with desktop publishing, Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe An understanding of the FAA and National Airspace System is a plus An understanding of Cybersecurity and/or Engineering is a plus Skills: Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to analyze federal RFPs and comprehensively outline all stated requirements Strong organizational, detail- and process-oriented skills Ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage complex workloads, and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities Strong communication and the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively to both internal teams and partners Ability to research various government and GWAC sites for upcoming opportunities and track as applicable. Able to research and identify RFPs, market surveys, drafts, and announcements for upcoming bids Technical and computer literacy: proficiency with proposal software, document management systems, and desktop publishing/presentation tools Willingness to learn, adapt, and help manage processes for a growing organization Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell.
