Department 34537 Carolinas Medical Center - Nursing: 10L Medical ICU Status Part time Benefits Eligible Yes Hours Per Week 24 Schedule Details / Additional Information A sign-on bonus is available to applicants who have not received a sign-on bonus from the company for another role within the past 24 months. 7P-7A Sat/Sun Pay Range $38.20 – $57.30 Where You Will Work The Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at Carolinas Medical Center is a 29‑bed unit. The primary focus is on patients with respiratory distress, pneumonia, sepsis, multi‑system organ failure, renal/hepatic failure, overdose, respiratory and cardiac arrest. The team utilizes ventilator support, ECMO, and extended time renal replacement (XTRRT). There is a 1:2 nurse‑to‑patient ratio and the MICU has an AACN Beacon Gold designation. We’re Looking For Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program. At least 6 months of RN experience (this position is not for new graduates). Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire. Preferred: 1 year of inpatient RN experience. What You’ll Do Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Use evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, and compassionate communication to create the safest patient environment and enhance the patient experience across the continuum.
