Join the team at Garden Spot Village to be a part of The Terrace, our exciting new restaurant concept featuring a seasonally crafted menu inspired by fresh flavors and creative culinary experiences!Discover Garden Spot’s benefits and how you can experience Life with Purpose™Health insurance401K program with company matchTuition assistanceFirst-time homebuyer program$21/hrWhat You'll DoComplies with established policies and procedures and maintains established standards and practices including the Compliance Program/Code of Conduct.Follows Residents’ Rights policies at all times.Treats all information about residents, their condition and family as confidential.Possesses an understanding and preparation of recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs for consumption in our eating establishments.Assists with the supervision of Dining Services personnel.Prepares bakery items, takes and receives inventory, moves and lifts foodstuffs, and supplies and prepares meals for customers according to customer need or dietary restrictions.Serves as lead cook by guiding, assisting, training, and assigning tasks.Under minimal supervision, independently performs advanced cooking duties in preparing food items to be served to customers.Advanced knife skills required.Assists in food ordering, according to menu and department needs.Prepares food and serves customers based on a seasonally crafted menu.Prepares food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines and regulations to ensure high-quality food service is provided.Reads food orders or receives verbal instructions on food required by patrons, and prepares and cooks food according to instructions.Tastes products, reads menus, estimates food requirements, checks production, and keeps records in order to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment.Complies with all HACCP policies and procedures.May clean and sanitize work stations and equipment and must follow all GSV and regulatory rules and procedures.Provides the highest quality of service to customers at all times.Performs all duties assigned in an effective, timely and professional manner.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.What We're Looking ForAvailable to work weekends and holidays.Ability to work closely with others in a spirit of cooperation, and identifies with and promotes the Mission and Philosophy of Garden Spot Village.Knowledge of cooking procedures and large quantity recipes.Able to prepare and serve food according to menus and recipes.Must be willing to train and participate in ongoing staff development programs.Displays initiative.Graduate of food-related course helpful (Serv Safe).Ability to relate to and communicate with employees, residents, and the general public in a friendly and professional manner.This position is full time 5 days a week with every other weekend 11:00am-8:00pm (Sundays 8:00am-4:00pm)!Equal Employment OpportunityGarden Spot Communities is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
