Medical Laboratory Technician

Medical Technologist – Microbiology

Schedule: Days, 3x12

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36

Requirements:

• Must be a graduate from an approved program
• Proficient in phlebotomy
• Ability to perform Blood Bank testing
• Experience in microbiology is preferred
• Must be knowledgeable of Covid regulations (PPE, isolation protocols, etc.)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory testing and analysis on various specimens.
• Conduct microbiological tests including gram stains, culture planting, and blood cultures.
• Ensure accuracy in reporting test results and maintain proper documentation.
• Adhere to safety and quality protocols within the laboratory environment.
• Work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Compliance / Notes:

• Will work holidays as needed on a rotating basis.
• Must be able to fill in for Thursday night shifts and cover for vacancies as required.
• The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts within 12 weeks.
