Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing established assessments and observational methodologies.
• Design individualized therapy strategies that target immediate and long-range goals related to communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Deliver dedicated speech therapy sessions that emphasize language, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.
• Partner with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to ensure a unified approach to patient care.
• Provide education to both patients and families to foster development outside of your clinical interactions.
• Engage in occasional inpatient assessments and treatments, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout each patient's journey.
• Uphold thorough documentation practices that comply with local, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaborative team efforts.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
