Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

A growing construction company in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. In this role, you'll work in a high‑volume environment and collaborate to process vendor invoices and corporate credit cards. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a full benefits package, bonus structure and extras like a phone allowance, flexibility for family appointments and a team environment. Prior construction industry or Sage experience is a plus but not required. Salary: $62,000 - $68,000 per year. Shift: First. Work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM. Education: High School. Responsibilities Process Automation and Accuracy: Drive accurate invoice entry using the automated billing system, HH2, ensuring all key details (vendor, dates, amounts, coding) are correct. Payment Compliance & Control: Ensure payment integrity by matching invoices against critical waivers and lien releases before weekly AP runs are executed in Sage 300. Corporate Card Management: Handle the entire cycle for corporate credit cards including transaction review, coding, monthly reconciliation, and accurate system export. Vendor Relationship Management: Maintain positive external relationships by promptly addressing vendor inquiries and performing monthly account reconciliations. Administrative Support: Provide essential support to the AP department by scanning, filing payment remittances, and assisting with various other accounting functions.
